Yerba Montana is a yerba mate tea company based out of beautiful and mountainous Montana, USA.

"Working with a fourth-generation family farm in Brazil, our yerba is organically grown, air-dried and aged for 12-18 months resulting in a delicious smooth taste. Our yerba mate is produced in areas of the Amazon Rainforest that were previously clear-cut for soybean plantations. As a native plant to the Amazon, our yerba mate not only offers a sustainable living to our partners, it also acts as the first step in regenerating decimated areas of the rainforest and encourages the return of native plant and animal species. We source ethically and are switching over to completely compostable packaging so environmental sustainability is an important part of our brand.

We recently created a line of yerba mate teas blended with medicinal plants of the Rocky Mountain Northwest. We envision our products as a fusion of the natural bounty of the Amazon Rainforest the Rocky Mountains."

I’ve been asked to recreate a packaging design for company.

First I started to work with 3 different blends of loose leaf tea. I drawed an illustration that included a mix of the Mountainous Montana landscape and the Amazon Rainforest. A river coming down from moutnain company logo separate and at the same time connect these two areas.

Second part of project was a work for a line of tea pouches. I create 4 illustration that represent 4 different natural areas of USA with iconic animals.

Current company logo became a part of packaging illustrative compositon.

Designs printed directly on Econic’s compostable Kraft (brown paper) and Snow (white paper) bags.
